An AI writing assistant schools can trust

Aule Writer · My own product · Romania · 2025

Schools want AI writing help for their students, but sending student work to an outside AI service is a privacy risk many cannot accept. Aule Writer brings AI writing assistance into the classroom with no student data ever leaving the school’s own machines.

Feedback on a student’s draft. Edit the text and ask again; nothing leaves this page.

In numbers

What it does

How it’s built

A small language model runs on one server inside the school network, and the classroom computers talk only to that server. The model is chosen and tuned for one job, feedback on student writing, which is why it fits on hardware a school can afford.

Classroom computers talk to a server inside the school; nothing goes to the internet

The school network is the boundary. Student work never crosses it.

Where it is

Piloted in a school in Romania: 2 classes, 54 students, 6 weeks. Teachers saw students revise their drafts more often, and asked to keep it after the pilot ended.

Why it matters

Whether people adopt AI depends on trust as much as on what the AI can do. Aule Writer starts from a school’s biggest concern, its students’ privacy, and builds the AI around it.
